Buying or selling a home can be one of the biggest events in your life.
You want it to be a positive experience so you'll need a competent and
resourceful guide; someone who's not afraid to do what it takes to get
you to your goal.
I am reminded of what it was like when I
started flying with my dad at age ten. He bought and totally recovered
a 1934 Aeronca Champ. This 2-seater prop plane had no more than six
instruments - a gas gauge, an altimeter, a tachometer, and a level to
determine your relationship with the horizon. It was constructed of a
metal, tubular frame and we recovered it with cotton cloth, painted it
with eight layers of glue, and then sprayed it with several coats of
paint. There was no radio, no phone, and no way to communicate with the
ground. Most people would probably fear flying in such a craft. My
perspective was different because my dad knew the plane in and out, he
charted each trip by map, and taught me to recognize the important
ground markings. I also learned the importance of intuition and
instinct; two factors that hold each flight together. It was
exhilarating to hear the engine start and to feel the plane leave the
runway. It was an adrenaline rush of life.
The business of real
estate offers a similar experience with each transaction. New
opportunities and projects geared towards improving lives are exciting
to me. Learning, discovering, and meeting new people are at the essence
of each day. Having a co-pilot to help you navigate through the process
will make all the difference. Having moved numerous times - at one point
there were six moves in five years - I can appreciate what you will be
going through. Helping others transition through one of life's biggest
events - the buying and selling of a home - is a most rewarding
experience. Life can be a wild ride; the fun is in sharing it.
